actually i didn't know that our melanau wedding version "kena cilok" and printed in the PLKN book until my wife's sister told us and send an mms.

in my opinion, the "research personnel" must do a google search on term "baju melanau" and found out about our wedding pictures, save it and print it. then they sell it to the government. later on, government distribute it at every PLKN training site.

technically, even though we didn't print out our wedding picture.. somebody print it out and distribute it all over the nation!

why do not have people ask us :

"is that you guys in the PLKN book?"

This is the next day ceremony. This ceremony start as early as 8am. People start coming and coming. and keep coming until we came out.

Wake up very early in the morning. Then make preparation using Melanau traditionals. Unfortunately, we only went out on 9am. Before that, let take some pictures..

Walking out from the house. Every eyes of the guest focus on us. Every cameras flashing around.




Entering her grandfather house which is the place we going to "bersanding" and "tepung tawar" both of us.





Sit tight. This would be a long day.






Actually this "tepung tawar" lasting around 1 hour or more. Every relatives is invited to give bless.

On walking again! This is after the "tepung tawar" ceremony is completed. We were asked to walk around to greet some people from the back including guests.


As you can see, most of them a very happy to meet us. Thanks for everything.

This wedding ceremony held on her grandparent at Igan on Friday 15 December 2006 after Friday Prayer.

After Friday prayer, I do not know what is my feeling at the moment. No feeling. But deep in my heart, I'm very happy :) But a little nervous, I admit.

Sitting in front on Jurunikah while hearing about Khutbah Nikah, I feel very uncomfortable. You know.. nervous + happy + anything at one time!


And.. the moment come true! I'm now officially a husband. Still didn't believe it that I'm just married with my fiance. Back there is my mom, her mom. You can guest the brides ;) (This picture not clear because some other pictures is not available yet)


Here you go.. a drink for you. After this we take a little walk around to give thanks to all people that has work very hard to make sure all Friday ceremony run smoothly.



But before that, lets go for a picture taking session at the jetty :p we'll walk around after this.. erm, which ones is a nice boat?

Ok, enough for picture taking session. Let's go for a walk to greet all the people. Where should we start?





Well, this is a meal preparation camp! As you can see a lots of relatives and neighbor preparing the meal ingredients.



Some people just feel shy to take picture with us! It's ok. Just act like nothing happened. Keep the hard work ;)

Visiting a grandmother of the oldest relatives. Can really understand what she said. But i think she's try to remembering who's daughter is married?

We take some rest after walking around. It's me, my wife and my mom here. Sometimes my mother feel bored because she doesn't know what to do. Kesian mak.

The next 5 days, I will become a husband to a lovely girl that i know 2 years ago. How fast the time flies. I still got this feeling: "Macam baru kenal semalam".. you know. but after this next friday, meby i should know her better.

however, deep in my heart that whoever is my "jodoh" in this world for sure she is the best that has been arranged for me. i hope i can do my best to become a good husband to her.

I can't really describe my feeling right now because that i need to complete my task yesterday. But today i'm still stuck with this task. and alhamdulillah that the task already done (for now).

sometimes, preparation for those big day is very exhausting. that's why i'm kind of neutral feeling right now. hope everything is going as i'm hope for.

Tomorrow morning is my flight to KCH. and thursday is my flight to her place. Friday is the day for Akad after Jumaat. Saturday is a day for Walimatulurus. Read the full story
